University of Wales Trinity Saint David

University of Wales Trinity Saint David have proudly been part of the CONNECT project since its beginning. CONNECT sits within the Student Services Department and its primary focus is encouraging students to look after their wellbeing, adopt healthy behaviours and feel connected. Over the last 18 months the project has continued to grow and develop a number of opportunities for both staff and students of the university.

Students

Get support: There are a number of ways you can get support via CONNECT for free; the Connector peer support service, the Feeling Good App or by checking out our helpful resources page.

Volunteer: You also have the opportunity to volunteer or undertake a work placement as a Student Connector. In doing so you can gather lots of great work experiences and receive Student Mind’s Look After Your Mate and other training at no cost.

CONNECT’s services and activities are available for any student, on any course, from any of the university’s campuses. This includes part time, distance learners, those juggling education and work or caring commitments. Whether you are a part time or distance learner, juggling education with work and family commitments, CONNECT is there for you.

Staff

Get support: Staff are welcome to make use of the free Feeling Good App subscription or by using our helpful resources page and can also recommend to students you support.

Volunteer & training: We also offer a number of volunteer and training opportunities for staff. By becoming a Staff Connector you will be able to undertake accredited Mental Health First Aid (2 day) training, at no cost and become part of the Staff Connector Network within the university; a place to share good practise and updates. Other training opportunities coming soon.
